<p>Many times, people ask me why they can&#8217;t get rid of the fat that is around their lower abs and belly buttons.</p>
<p>&#8230;A great question to ask because if you don&#8217;t specifically train this area and give it the attention that it needs, it probably will never go away on it&#8217;s own.</p>
<p>The SECRET to getting rid of it is simple&#8230;hold in your tummy<br />

<p>You can ask any of my clients now: while I am training them, I&#8217;ll say: &#8220;hold your tummy in&#8221; about a hundred times in a workout.</p>
<p>The effects of holding in your tummy does two main things to your<br />
midsection:</p>
<p>1.  It lets your body know that the lower abs aren&#8217;t a safe place to keep it&#8217;s precious stored energy: your body fat. (And if you aren&#8217;t introducing and NEW fattening foods into your body, then you can really get some dramatic results in a short period of time)<br />
2.  It shrinks the circumference of your midsection by strengthening your abdominal muscles. (As you strengthen muscles, they tend to tighten up)</p>
